Invictus Games The Hague 2020 confirmed for April 16-22, 2022
The Invictus Games The Hague 2020 presented by Jaguar Land Rover, which has already been postponed twice due to the Coronavirus pandemic, will now be held from April 16 to 22.
The Invictus Games is an international sporting event for wounded, injured and ill serving and former serving military personnel. The Games uses the power of sport to drive recovery, support rehabilitation, and generate wider understanding and respect for those who serve or have served their country. Since the inaugural Invictus Games in London in 2014, the following Invictus Games have been held in Orlando (2016), Toronto (2017) and Sydney (2018).
The fifth Invictus Games, which will still be referred to as the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, will thus now be held in The Hague from April 16-22, 2022 with more than 500 participants from 20 countries participating in ten adaptive sports events. In the plans, the safety and well-being of the participants always comes first, with a focus on their recovery.
The Australian Defence Force (ADF), Returned and Services League (RSL) and Veteran Sport Australia (VSA) will partner to send a combined team of 32 current and former serving ADF members to the Games.
