Operation Accordion is the Australian Defence Force (ADF) overarching support mission to Operation  Okra, Manitou and other ADF activities from within the Gulf States.

Operation Accordion also enables contingency planning and enhancement of regional relationships in the Middle East Region (MER)

The Australian National Headquarters – Middle East Region, known as Headquarters Joint Task Force 633 (HQJTF 633) exercises command and control of deployed Australian Defence Force units in the MER through Operation Accordion.

Around 400 ADF personnel are assigned to Operation Accordion to provide support to Australian operations throughout the Middle East region, including Operations Okra, Highroad and Manitou.

Through Operation Accordion, the ADF has deployed elements to provide communications, Force Support, Airbase Operations, air mobility, movements support, Command and Control and elements of the ADF Investigative service.
