Operation ASLAN is the name of Australian Defence Force (ADF) contribution of personnel to the United Nations' Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

The ADF's commitment assists the UN in implementing its mandate through the protection of civilians, monitoring and investigating human rights violations and creating the conditions enabling the delivery of humanitarian assistance.   

Personnel of the Australian contingent fill key positions within UNMISS such as military liaison officers and  operations, aviation and logistics support roles.

The ADF contingent comprises up to 20 personnel from the Navy, Army and Air Force.
